Terms of Service

Effective: 19 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Kieser Group, trading as MyoStats ("MyoStats", "we", "us"), for your use of the MyoStats website and app at myostats.com and coach.myostats.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use MyoStats

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for your account: keep your password private, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.

2. What MyoStats is, and isn't

MyoStats is a tool for recording and understanding your own training, nutrition, body metrics, blood work and substance use. It gives general information and estimates.

It is not a medical service and does not give medical, pharmaceutical, legal or dietary advice. Read the Disclaimer before relying on anything the Service shows you.

3. Using the Service lawfully

You are responsible for making sure your use of the Service, and anything you do in real life, complies with the laws that apply to you. This includes laws on scheduled and controlled substances. You agree not to:

• use the Service to buy, sell, supply, prescribe or advertise any substance;
• upload content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• access accounts or data that aren't yours, or probe, overload or disrupt the Service;
• scrape, copy or resell the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

4. Your data

What you log is yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can provide the Service to you and to the people you choose to share it with (such as a coach). You can export your data from Profile → Preferences, or delete your account, at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

5. Coaching

Coaches can use MyoStats to manage athletes' data.

• Consent: an athlete must accept a coach's invite. The athlete chooses whether the coach can see their blood work and cycles, and can remove a coach at any time.
• Coach responsibilities. If you use MyoStats as a coach, you:
  • confirm you have each athlete's consent to process their information, including for clients you create profiles for;
  • will keep athletes' information confidential and use it only to coach them;
  • will stay within your professional qualifications. Coaching is not medical care.
• Substances. Coaches must not use the Service to prescribe, supply or direct the use of scheduled or controlled substances.
• Our role. We are not a party to any coach–athlete relationship. We are not responsible for a coach's advice, conduct or fees.
• Accountability. Every change a coach makes to an athlete's data is recorded, and the athlete can see it.

6. Plans and payment

• Free: the features shown as free on our pricing page.
• Pro (monthly): R189 a month. Billed in advance through PayFast and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel, pause or resume in Billing. Cancelling stops future payments, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Lifetime: R3,499 once, for Pro features for as long as MyoStats operates the Service.
• Price changes: prices may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
• Payments: processed by PayFast. We don't store your card details.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002, including cooling-off and refund rights where they apply. For billing questions, email [email protected].

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep MyoStats available and your data safe, but we can't promise the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance, and you may cancel.

8. Suspension and ending

You can stop using MyoStats and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

9. Our content

The Service, its design, software and content (other than your data and third-party content) belong to us or our licensors. Exercise descriptions come from the public-domain free-exercise-db project.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows:

• the Service is provided "as is";
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for harm arising from decisions you make based on information or estimates in the Service, including about training, nutrition or substance use;
• our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, or liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims and losses that arise from your unlawful use of the Service, or from your breach of these terms. For coaches, this includes claims by your athletes about your coaching.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. Please contact us first at [email protected]. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated terms.
