Cookie Policy

This policy explains how MyoStats, operated by Kieser Group trading as MyoStats, stores information in your browser. In short: we don't use cookies to track you, and there are no advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Everything we store is needed for the app to work.

1. What MyoStats stores in your browser

MyoStats uses your browser's local storage (similar to cookies, but never sent to any website automatically) for:

• Signing in: your sign-in tokens, so you stay signed in. Signing out removes them.
• Your data: a copy of what you log, so the app is fast and works offline. It syncs with your account when you're online.
• Preferences: your settings, for example units, rest timer length, and whether anonymous feature counts are switched off.
• Offline files: if you install MyoStats or use it offline, a service worker keeps a copy of the app's pages and files.

On the coach site (coach.myostats.com), the same storage holds the data of the athlete you have open. It is cleared when you switch athletes or sign out.

2. Cookies set by others

• Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example to tell people apart from bots). They are not used for tracking or advertising.
• PayFast sets its own cookies on its website when you go there to pay. Those are covered by PayFast's own policies.

3. Analytics

We count how often a few features are used, per day, with nothing attached that could identify you. No cookie or identifier is involved. You can switch these counts off in Profile → Preferences, and they are not sent if your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. See our Privacy Policy.

4. Your choices

Because everything we store is strictly necessary, we don't show a consent banner. You can clear MyoStats' storage at any time in your browser's site settings. This signs you out and removes the copy of your data on that device. Your account data stays safe in the cloud and comes back when you sign in again.

5. Changes and contact

If we ever add non-essential cookies or storage, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. Questions: [email protected].
